Detect, Deter, and Defend

Cameras only record crime; electric fencing stops it before it happens. Smart Automation Technologies installs custom-designed, multi-zone electric fencing systems acting as both a physical and psychological barrier around your property walls.

How It Works

  • High-Voltage Deterrent: Wires carry up to 10,000 volts of pulsed, non-lethal direct current. It delivers a severe but safe shock upon contact.
  • Active Surveillance: The connected Energizer monitors the wires 24/7. If an intruder attempts to cut, spread, or short circuit the wires, it instantly triggers high-decibel sirens.
  • Smart Integration: We configure the fence to alert your mobile phone via an app, and can tie the system into floodlights or CCTV PTZ cameras that face the breached zone automatically.

Components & Durability

We utilize Nemtek energizers (South Africa), known globally for unmatched reliability. The wires are heavy-gauge galvanized or marine-grade stainless steel to ensure zero rusting and consistent voltage delivery along lengths spanning kilometers.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, it is strictly non-lethal. The electricity travels in rapid micro-second pulses at very low amperage. It provides a sharp, painful, and involuntary muscle contraction to deter intruders, but strictly complies with international life safety standards.

No. Despite the high voltage, the wattage is incredibly low. A standard residential fence energizer uses about the same energy as a 15w LED bulb.

All our Nemtek energizers are outfitted with dedicated internal deep-cycle safety batteries. In the event of a power outage, the fence will continue to output high-voltage pulses for 12 to 24 hours autonomously.

No. Small birds sitting on a single wire do not ground the circuit, so they will not be shocked or trigger an alarm. The alarm only triggers if an object touches two opposing wires together, or touches a live wire and the ground simultaneously.
